Vigan, Ilocos Sur
06/20/2016

One of the most sought out places when you travel to Ilocos. Mainly because of the well-known and cobblestoned street of Calle Crisologo, which is practically a tourist hotspot. After a couple of days going through Ilocos Norte, we decided to go head down to Vigan just before the sun went down. It was raining when we went there and the effect it had on Calle Crisologo was
stunning albeit lamenting.

The gloomy feeling was a new perspective for me, in contrast to what most people say about Calle Crisologo. Although there are some articles who really suggests to visit it at wee hours of the morning just before the sun goes up.

One of Calle Crisologo's distinct features besides it's cobblestone walkway, is it's restored houses that's dated during the Spanish-colonial era. And of course, their famous transportation, their horse-drawn carriages or most commonly known as Kalesa.

Here's a treat for anyone who's visiting Vigan. Try out their Empanada!

A friend suggested we try out this stall within Calle Crisologo and by God, their empanada was heaven here on earth lol. It was abundantly stuffed with the meat of your choice for as low as 35pesos!! Really different from the empanadas that I've tried before. Sweet deal!

Decided to chill go for a coffee break before we depart to our next destination.
